WARDROBE STAPLES 03: FAUX LEATHER LEGGINGS FEAT. KAREN MILLEN

Pinch punch, it’s the first (or second) of the month!

Autumn is here, the month of Halloween and I’m all about oranges: bright, burnt, brick you name it! I’m also so excited to be blogging about what must be my favourite item of clothing: my new pair of faux leather leggings by Karen Millen.

I’m sure by now my obsession with Karen Millen has transpired throughout my blog so on it goes! 🙂

I used to own the classic Zara faux leather leggings with the zipper for a few seasons but they never fit properly. It could have been due to the wonky sizing, or the material or the fact that I hated the way the zipper kept constantly pressing against my ankle, giving me wounds (oops!) but I’d been looking for a new pair of good quality, faux leather leggings for some time now.

A few weeks ago I was browsing at Karen Millen (surprise surprise!) and there it was! My perfect pair of faux leather leggings!

The minute I tried these on, I was in love!

The fit is just perfect, snug in all the right places, no zipper at the bottom (no more wounds around the ankle, yay!) and the best part??? They’re high-waisted! Like, seriously high-waisted which I love because I can tuck in all of my comfy jumpers and achieve a super easy, wearable look.

While I was browsing, I also found this cute sleeveless roll-neck top in this very autumnal check pattern (may I add ON SALE!) and thought it’d be great for this time of the year since it’s not too cold yet but I could team it with a crisp, white shirt underneath for a sleek, preppy look in the colder months.

As always, I chose my trusty Michael Kors bag which fits my laptop and everyday essentials and last but not least…my new Zara coat!

This burnt orange/reddish-brown colour just screamed my name when I saw it! I also love the collar (very Stella McCartney-ish but for much less 😉 ) but there’s a catch: I decided to have it slightly altered. You see, it was originally a bit longer (it went right up to the knee) and I was going for  a more blazer-coat kinda look so I simply had it hemmed…ta daaa! My new blazer-coat!

This is a colour that goes with virtually everything; it’s appropriate for the office, for a day in the city when you’re running errands and want to look chic…just whack on a pair of leather leggings and your go-to blazer coat and there you have it! An effortlessly stylish outfit in 2 steps!

Also, don’t forget to pair it with your favourite lipstick – I went for D for Danger by Mac 😏

Happy autumn ladies!! xx

Hi!! That’s a huge elegant look and also a little bit rocker (when you take off the jacket). We love it.

May we share this look in our blog http://www.outfitinleather.com? In every post we write about the blogger and the brand of all the clothes. And we also link to the blog we have taken the look from.

    Thank you!! Cheers!!
