In the summer I always opt for lighter fabrics and easy outfits I can just throw on and walk out of the door.

I had been looking for a shirt dress since what felt like forever that when I found it I was absolutely ecstatic!

I knew I wanted something I could wear all year round. Something that would look good to wear on its own as well as combined with different tops.

As for the colour, I knew I wanted a beige-y, taupe-y colour.

It all happened on a random evening whilst visiting Cambridge (stunning Cambridge!) for a 4-day conference.

There I was using up my break to properly relax and recharge my batteries in…John Lewis! I went straight to the Karen Millen section a) because I just love the style of this brand and b) they had sales!

When I saw it, I had to have it!

First of all, let’s take a minute about the colour…it’s the perfect beige-y, champagne-y tone.

This colour can be easily combined with white bardot tops for the summer or worn plain as in my case.

It can also be a cool alternative for the office in the autumn or winter with a shirt or a turtleneck jumper underneath.

As for the spring…imagine it with some cool flats or brogues and a simple T-shirt underneath.

I can think of a million ways of wearing this which is exactly what I was looking for. A versatile shirt dress.

I chose to wear it on an evening out and about in Thessaloniki. It’s light and cool so you don’t end up sweating because it’s still over 30 degrees here and, most importantly, it’s easy to take off when you go shopping! 😛

I styled it with a silk scarf as a headband aka my signature hairstyle when I’m too bored to do my hair but still want to look presentable.

I added a couple of accessories as well namely my beloved Fitzgerald Astrid & Miyu cuff to complement my new piercings (yay!!) with my beloved Burberry wedges and Tous bag which is kinda wearing out and needs to be replaced!

And here’s another glimpse of the beautiful Aristotelous Square in my hometown!

Have you found your perfect shirt dress yet? If not, I highly recommend this Karen Millen one! xx
